Through this website you are able to link to other websites which are not under the control of Jan Jay Design. We therefore have no control over the content, nature and availability of those sites.
Ordering online
All payments are taken using Stripe payment processing.
The total cost of an online order will be products purchased and relevant delivery charge for that product(s)
Order acceptance and completion of the order contract between you and Jan Jay Design will take place upon dispatch of goods ordered by you, unless we notify you otherwise that we do not accept your order, or that you have notified us you have cancelled it.
Our non-acceptance of an order may be the result of one of the following:
- The inability to obtain authorisation of your payment
- Identifying a price or product description error
- The customer not being eligible to order
Eligibilty to order falls into the following:
- The customer must be aged over 18
- The customer must register their real contact information, name, full postal address, email and payment details
- The customer must possess a valid credit or debit card that is acceptable by Stripe
- By purchasing a product you are committing details to Jan Jay Design and authorising transfer of information about you to third parties to verify your identity
We do our best to ensure that all product pricing is correct on our website at all times however despite our best efforts there may be the odd time where pricing is incorrectly inputted. In the event of this happening we will notify you to make you aware, and at our own discretion, we will either send the order at the lower charge rate or withdraw the product(s) from the sale and cancel your order.
Jan Jay Design reserves the right to withdraw products from this site at any time or edit content. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any consequence of withdrawal of a product at any time.
Jan Jay Design reserves the right to reject any offer to purchase by you at any time.
The user of the website assumes all responsibility for costs and risks arising as a result of its use of the website. We will always strive to take reasonable care and precaution to store the details of your order and payments (made via Stripe) secure, except where we are negligent, we cannot be held responsible or liable for any losses caused as a result of unauthorised access to data you provide when ordering or accessing the website.
Orders and Delivery
Delivery is charged as it appears on your order unless you are ordering from outside the UK.
Delivery charges are as follows:
- Fabric samples, small art prints and clutch bags are sent via Royal Mail Royal Mail 2nd class.
- Framed, Un-framed prints, cushions, shades and main fabric orders are sent via APC Couriers.
Goods that are in stock we aim to dispatch within 2-4 working days of the order being taken.
Fabrics, art prints, cushions, lampshades and bags that are not in stock will be made to order, we aim to deliver within 3-4 weeks from taking payment.
For delivery outside of the UK please contact info@janjaydesign.co.uk and we can work with you to arrange the best delivery option. Any duty or taxes for overseas orders will be the sole responsibility of the customer.
Please note that Jan Jay Design cannot be held responsible for failed or late deliveries which are outside of our control.
Cancellation of Order
We are certain that you will be delighted with your order from Jan Jay Design, and as many of our products are hand printed, they may vary slightly in appearance which is the very nature of a handmade item. We feel this adds to their character and is not to be considered a fault.
If a product is faulty we ask that you contact us immediately by emailing info@janjaydesign.co.uk to arrange a return.
For goods that have clearly been damaged in transit we ask that you do not sign for the item and contact info@janjaydesign.co.uk immediately. Alternatively, if signed for, please photograph the damaged product/order and email us within 24 hours.
We do not offer refunds on bespoke made products
All of our fabric by the metre is printed to order so we cannot accept returns unless faulty. We would always recommend purchasing a small swatch or returnable before making your purchase.
If you wish to cancel your order with Jan Jay Design you may do so by contacting us immediately at info@janjaydesign.co.uk
If your order has already been dispatched by the time you make your request, we will ask you to return your order to us at your own cost using a tracked method. Jan Jay Design cannot be held responsible for items you return to us which are lost in transit.
Privacy and Cookies
We care about how your information is used and shared online and respect the privacy of our customers who use this site. We will only collect information that we are legally obliged to under law and use it in ways that are useful to you the customer.
The data we collect from you may be used for:
- Market Research – with your permission we may contact you from time to time via email or post with promotions or newsletters which may be of interest

- Supplying products and services to you
- Tailoring your experience to our site

You may withdraw your consent to use your personal data for the purpose(s) set out above at any time. However, we ask that you acknowledge that by withdrawing your consent this may result in our limitation to provide you with the best possible service and products available to you.
Whilst every effort is made to keep our website running smoothly, Jan Jay Design cannot not be held accountable and will not be liable for the website being temporarily unavailable due to technical issues beyond our control.
Jan Jay Design will endeavour to verify the accuracy of all information provided on the website but cannot make any warranty that the information and facilities offered via this website are accurate, complete or current or that the website will be free of viruses and/or other harmful elements.
